Dorothy and Don were amazing hosts as they made us feel right at home. The room was by far the best "hotel room" we have ever stayed in as it was very clean and very quiet. The breakfasts were very good and fancy too. Dorothy was always right there to make sure we had everything we needed and made sure we were comfortable. The farm is also close enough to several State Parks and natural areas. Learning about how a dairy farm operates was quite interesting for city folks and watching the cattle graze in their pastures was quite calming. Excellent stay, thank you! Sandy, July 2019
I can't say enough about this Bed & Breakfast. Dorothy was very welcoming when we arrived. She knew it was a special occasion for us so she gave us some flowers and delicious fudge, which was very much appreciated. (I happened to mention ahead of time that I was going to bring wine). The room was wonderful, with a beautiful view of acres and acres of farmland. It was so relaxing coming from the city. The next morning Dorothy made this incredible breakfast, and I'm not one to take pictures of food, but I had to in this case. (After I download the pics I'll try to attach it to this review.) Anyway, it was delicious. After breakfast, Dorothy took us on a tour of the farm where I learned an awful lot about dairy farming. I loved every minute. After the tour, my wife and I just walked the grounds, which was nice. It's only about a half-hour from Spring Green, and maybe an hour or so from Galena (maybe a little longer), so we went to both places that weekend. I lived out west for a few years and loved the wide open space; now that I found Valley Springs Farm B&B, I plan to go back at least once a year! -Lyle - June 2019
We had a wonderful stay with Dorothy and Don. They were excellent hosts, along with their kids and grandkids who happened to stop by. They were also incredibly accommodating of our two young children, even our 3 year old's continual asking of how stuff worked. They always patiently explained things and were happy to show him. The accommodations were as shown and very clean and comfortable. They also provided little extra things for the kids like a high chair (for our infant), kid boots, and even a few toys and books for use when not out on the farm. And the homemade breakfast was very, very good. We cannot say enough good things about the place or the hosts. We absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone interested in getting away and/or seeing how a farm really worked. It was an exceptional experience. Chuck, July 2018
"Dorothy and Don were the perfect hosts! There secluded farm was so amazing. My husband and I felt like part of the family as soon as we met them. I even had the opportunity to bottle feed a calf! The county style breakfast was superb, made with fresh ingredients from the farm. I would recommend this B&B to anyone who wants the wholesome farm experience - Rosalie, July 2018
