I love canning tomatoes so many ways! Soup, spaghetti sauce, Italian seasoned and even jam! My spiced tomato jam surprises people with its sweet cinnamon taste (remember tomatoes are a fruit!)
Today I found my 1st red tomato of the season and I am making a batch of 3 bean salad to can.
The grand-daughters helped me gather violets from my flower gardens and we steeped them with boiling water to strain the juice for this pretty pink jelly. It has such a light fruity taste!
